SkyDog and I plan to thru-hike the trail in Sept. We plan on doing it in 6 days. Where is the best place to cache food around the halfway point? I'd like to carry 3 days of food and then pick up the next 3 days of food somewhere along the trail or pretty close by. We need to stash it ahead of time. We will not be having anyone meet us along the way. So is there a park office or someplace that would be a good choice?
