Fugees Family Friendly Tournament Fundraiser!

This winter the Fugees Family soccer club will be hosting a fundraising tournament; the
Fugees Friendly Tournament will take place on January 26, 2008. The
cost is $50 per player and players will receive a t-shirt and 4 guaranteed games.
We will have coed age groups of U16, U14, and U12, and players will be
split up into different teams of 10 upon registering. Fugees Family players
will be split up among the different teams. We would love to have some
players from your club participate.Attached is a flier and basic registration
form for anyone who is interested. Let me know if you have any questions

Fugees Family is an organization that provides services to refugee families,
helping them transition to life in the US through self-reliance and sustainability. The
core of Fugees Family programming is Fugees Soccer, a soccer program
for refugee boys and girls. In addition, soccer is used as a
motivational tool to improve character, behavior, and academic
performance. Mandatory tutoring sessions are provided after every
practice. Mentoring sessions and help with college applications and
placement are also conducted for the oldest group of players.

Since our players live below the poverty line, their families do not
have resources to pay for programming; all of our programs are free
for participants, funded through Fugees Family fundraising efforts,
and staffed by volunteer tutors and coaches.
