I didn't say the writing was bad - as I said, parts of it were rather interesting. The graphic descriptions of Alex's arm growing and his pain was very well-written.
I just wasn't happy with the resolution. That's my opinion and I'm entitled to it just as you are to yours.
As for the fact that nothing was ever resolved on the show...well, on one hand it kept me watching all these years and made me wonder at the possibilities, but CC also dragged his mysteries out a bit too long without resolution. The last episode was too little, too late for me.
And I really hated the last two seasons - they just ruined it IMHO. : ) After all...they killed Alex.
