I'm very fond of Mulder/Krycek, adore Mulder as he's my primary focus, but am very, very fond of Krycek. I like Krycek to be dangerous and somewhat ambiguous, you never quite know where his loyalties really lie, but one things for certain is that he wants Mulder. I like Mulder to fight the attraction and, while I want equality, I am very keen on Krycek wanting to protect Mulder and Mulder getting irritated as hell about it.
I'm not into the notion of subs and doms, but admit to liking seeing Krycek in the 'driving seat' much of the time. I hate sub Krycek, jsut can't see it, but then again I can't see Mulder as a sub either. These men are just too damn stubborn and driven to ever be willing to submit to anyone's desires.
I detest 'wronged and misunderstood' Krycek paired with a Mulder who is 'hardly fit to lick his boots' type stories as I find them an anathema.
I have a recs. page, it nearly all M/K, with an occasional M/other, a few M/K/Sk, - a trio I really don't like as I don't 'get' Skinner's appeal, but then you just have to read Life from the Ashes - and even a few Gen.
While I think the classics are excellent, I strongly disagree that good M/K is not finding it's way out into the world. There's just far less written these days, but there are still some absolutely gems.
