It's been a while since I've read this story, so details are sketchy. I remember basically that Mulder gets caught, I believe by the Consortium, and is kept in a white room for a long period of time. I think they have a camera in there watching him, but don't really contact him until later.
Sorry, it's really been a long time since I read it, so can't remember much, but anyone who knows a fic that even slightly is like this, I would love to hear back!
