No, it is the assembly point of river-crossing material units.

Shohatsus had been used by Imperial Guard Division in the west coast of Malaya. They were transported from Pontian Kechil to Skudai River by trucks of IGD. Other river-crossing materials were transported by trucks of river-crossing material units.

Yes. But, it is said about the transport of ammunition. Ammunition were transported up to Gemas by railway. Because the railway beyond Gemas had not yet been repaired, they were transported from Gemas to Johor Baru by the traffic system of trucks as you mentioned.
