| It would appear that the previous reference to the Indianapolis class of U.S. heavy cruisers (only two vessels) is not correct, but should be the Portland class. Curiously, the entries in
www.hazegray.org/danfs/cruisers/
indicate that PORTLAND (CA 33) was of the Indianapolis class, while INDIANAPOLIS (CA 35) was of the Portland class. Seems almost like a couple of politicians voting for each other during the final election.
