Well that exchange left this non-Nederlander scratching his head. What was it about the Lend Lease agreement that prevented the renaming of BUCHANAN as CAMPBELTOWN but nicht MIDDELBURG.

Guys, I know that some of you think that terse and cryptic answers are good, manly stuff, but pray consider expanding your answers so that a more complete and detailed response is forthcoming. Exempli gratia, why it was inexplicably against the rules to rename an American DD "MIDDELBURG" whereas "CAMBELTOWN" was A-OK. And thank you.
