Jacques,
Thing I'm not grasping is that ALL of the (in)famous fifty flushdeckers WERE in fact renamed by the Brits, Canadians, or other Lend Lease recipients. What is it I ain't getting here?
Much is made of this generous hands-across-the-sea gifting, but for those who saw WWII duty aboard these cramped vessels--poor seakeeping boats in the often rough North Atlantic--they were decidedly NOT popular. St. Nazaire a good excuse to get rid of at least one of 'em?
