Response to CONCORD's OJ-2s

OK, they're not photos but aviation artists usually strive for accuracy and must've gotten the details from somewhere. Except, why are these OJ-2s fitted with landing gear (6-S-7 with arrestor hook) and not floats?

Here is 6-S-7 Bureau no.9200 from USS CINCINATTI (CL-6) Autumn 1935.

and 5-S-4 Bureau No. 9405 from USS MARBLEHEAD (CL-12) Spring 1934

and 6-S-1 Bureau No. 9406 from CONCORD (CL-10) Summer 1934

Note the squadron insignia for VS-6 - might come in handy for ID purposes where the squadron markings are obscured.
