Response to More on NZ and Indian 3.7-inch howitzers

...should have read the whole story.

"New Zealand received none until after World War 1 when 20 Light Battery in Auckland and 16 Light Battery in Christchurch were each equipped with four howitzers." - (8 x 3.7-inch)

With reference to GO 303, we know that the 3.7s (at least a few) were still in NZ in 1926 and then sold sometime after that, which makes it more likely that these were the "well worn" ones sold to Australia.
