Response to German Revólver Cannon

Thanks. Cannot explain why I didn't come up with this piece, designed by Hotchkiss and licensed for manufacture by Gruson in Magdeburg. The Hotchkiss mechanism was superior to that of the Gatling. From what I can find, the German variant saw naval and fortress use in the mid to late 1870s, then became adopted for field service sometime during the next decade. In 1892, Krupp absorbed Gruson in a hostile takeover.
