I recently came across Brian Linn's book, "Guardians of Empire: The U.S. Army and the Pacific, 1902-1940" which covers the U.S. Army in the Philippines and Hawaii from 1902-1940.
Can someone recommend an English language publication on the build up of armed forces in the Dutch East Indies by the KNIL and Ml-KNIL during this period?
