Anniversary Set Limited to 911 Pieces



Forty years ago, Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche founded the Porsche Design studio and his own luxury brand Porsche De-sign. And for the past four decades, the studio has produced numerous classics of superlative design. In fact, Porsche Design developed an entirely new category of luxury products: engineered luxury. The first product was the black Chronograph I, which immediately revolutionised the watch industry. The exclusive spectacles that followed became the world’s most successful sunglasses ever.

The limited edition and numbered anniversary box, “40Y of Iconic Products”, contains the new release of the Chronograph I from the “Iconic Style” collection in an exclusive, matt silver grey.



In addition to the classic watch, the collector’s box includes the legendary exclusive P’8478 sunglasses – the second Porsche Design product – in a special 40 year version. The logo on the temples and the inside surfaces adopts the color scheme of the red second hand of the Chronograph I as an homage to the past four decades of the brand.



Technical Specifications:

The case, in titanium, measures 40.5mm. It has an AR-coated sapphire crystal and is water resistant to 100 meters.

Movement is the Swiss automatic ETA caliber Valjoux 7750 with 25 jewels, 28,800 vph and a power reserve of 48 hours. It features a Porsche Design rotor.
