Here's my thought on this. It is said that "context is everything," and that's the case here. Had the context of this weepy eyes incident been one where Hiliary was in a position of strength, how this is perceived would be completely different. Had it been a month ago when she was the clear front runner, it'd be different. Had she won in Iowa and was leading in New Hampshire, it'd be different. Then it could be explained by "passion" for her cause, or whatever.
But that's not the context in which this incident occurred. Instead, it came on the heals of her shocking third place finish in Iowa, and fall from the lead in NH to suddenly being behind by double figures in some polls. It came with questions surrounding her once previously solid campaign that seems to suddenly have the wheels falling off.
In that context, it just looks like she's cracking under the pressure. Maybe that's not what happened, but in context that's the perception and in these kinds of political situations the perception is the reality.
