If this country elects Hillary Clinton, then we could have 28 straight years of Presidents with only two different last names.  That's very much unprecedented and I think slightly worrisome.

Is our country's highest office becoming the exclusive play ground of just two families for over a quarter of a century a desirable thing?

When it was a Bush Sr., followed after eight years by his son then it was but a single case of immediate familial succession to the White House, and I like to say that "a single data point does not a trend establish."  But now we risk that becoming somewhat more than a single data point and I think this a little worrisome.

At least in theory, another Bush son could succeed Hillary Clinton and continue this almost monarchial family approach to the Presidency.  Does this not seem somewhat disturbingly oligarchial for the American democracy to some?
