Hitting the mainstream media now is the "shocking" story of a Marine who appears in a video to be throwing a cute little pupppy off a cliff. Here's the FoxNews story on it: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,334709,00.html
The video is all over YouTube and you can view it here and judge for yourself, though some of you may fnd it disturbing.

The Marine involved has been tentatively identified as Lance Corporal David Motari, currently stationed in Hawaii. The guy is getting villified by bloggers everywhere, and he may well deserve to be. But I think there is at least some question as to the authenticity of the video, and the appearance of what happened.
The puppy does not seem to move at all when he is holding him. Is he alive then? Maybe he's a stuffed dog? I don't know. Motari's hand goes out of sight for a moment as he is rearing back to throw and something could have been substituted at that time. You hear an audible yelping from, apparently from the puppy, as it flies over the cliff, but that yelping seems almost too clear and audible for a cheap video camera to me, but I could be wrong about that.
Thoughts anyone?
The more people I meet, the more I like my dog.
