It's my personal view that we have a long way to go. There is still more bad news than good news coming out, and some of the good news is illusory. For example, you may hear that home sales are up, which is true. But fully 50% of the home sales are "distressed sales", sales of homes that have been foreclosed on.

Major hits have yet to come, to include two of the big three auto companies closing down for summer and cutting their wages as part of restructuring.

Admittedly I have been surprised that the Swine Flu scare did not chill the stock market and economy further. I suppose that is a good sign.
