Turns out he will be serving his sentence in Butner, NC, not too far from where I live.

People can submit pictures, letters, etc to the website, and every 6 months they will send Madoff a "care package" with the submissions. :-D
They encourage the folks to "tell him how you feel about what he did".
In the meantime, they have a gallery of submissions on the website, and some are quite amusing. :-D
