This August has felt more like early autum than late summer here. The huge sycamore in my back yard is quickly loosing it's leaves. These days when we have a camp fire about back we are one heck of a lot closer to it than we usually are and wearing light jackets and yesterday evening when I had to put on a flannel shirt as I was cleaning up from our construction project.

Summer started late too. I got a feeling the first frost is going to come early this year and farmers may actually be justified in the complaints because they won't get the yeild from the soyabeans they wanted. They still need some warm days for the bean plants to fill out and it's begining to look like they won't get them. Heck, I think we only had 5 days with temps of 90 deg. F. or higher so far this summer.
So much for global warming.
