THE ROYAL HOUSE OF CHICAGO OR THAT OF NEW YORK
A plague on the candidate
of the Royal House of Chicago
as well as the candidate
of the Royal House of New York,
for one candidate is the child of JStreet
and the other the child of AIPAC.
One has made his pilgrimage to Israel
and the other is preparing to go there
and both have prostituted themselves
for the support of the Jewish media.
Neither candidate knows
or cares for the common man
and each of them is committed to unending war.
Neither candidate has,
or is even capable of developing,
a program that would better America.
So, perhaps, when election day arrives
you may decide
as you cast your vote
that all things considered
it is better to vote for the devil you know
than the devil you don't ---
or you may decide
upon "thinking it through"
that it is
better to take a chance on the other
rather than continuing to go
down the same perilous road
However,
whatever you do,
I am not bound by race,
or by religion or position
to vote for either candidate,
and,
like many another scoundrel,
whose last resort is patriotism,
I will not cast a vote
for either Obama or Romney

Given the trends and events escalating on planet earth today, such as tremendous wild fires all over the planet, increasingly violent weather amidst accelerating climate change, very precarious global economic stabilty on the verge of collapse, dangerous overpopulation, exploitation of limited resources, acccelerating extinction of planetary flora and fauna, the inevitability of a third world war including the christofascists Armageddon self fulfilling prophecy, the planetary/solar system history of cyclical events approaching catastrophic peaks, and so forth, November's presidential election just may be moot, Shock. Personally, I believe that Obama's by far the stronger of the two candidates, capable of steering the nation or what's left of it through all of the above.
Sounds like an outpost fire fight around here tonight, driving the dogs to hiding under the blankets of our beds; a great reminder that one of the advantages of hearing aids is being able to turn them off. |

I appreciate your response, agree with its thrust, and I am copying it and posting iton other boards.
We had our dogs inside to escape the fireworks. turned them out for a few minutes and the Jack Russell, Susie, returned when I called them, but our Lab, Eos, has yet to return and I am worried. She has cousins on each side of our place, however, and I believe she has gone to one of their homes to find a hiding place.

found her sometime around two o'clock this morning
she had gone to a sister's house
the fireworks were over
they were playing
All's quite on the Potomac. |
