Prins Charles hustru Camilla Parker Bowles ställer in alla evenemang sex veckor framöver.
Orsaken är att hon ska opereras i början av mars. Enligt Londontidningen Evening Standard ska 59-åringens livmoder tas bort. Operationen är planerad sedan en tid tillbaka och är inte föranledd av någon hastig försämring av hertiginnans hälsa, uppger hovet. Under de senaste månaderna har hon dock tvingats ställa in planerade uppdrag vid ett par tillfällen.
Operationen beskrivs som vanlig och ofarlig – en av fem brittiska kvinnor över 55 år genomgår den.

The Tourism Sales Division has the mission of increasing leisure travel and its attendant economic impact on Greater Miami and the Beaches. Toward that end, the staff works directly with you, the travel trade, to promote the destination worldwide. Partnerships with airlines, travel agents, tour wholesalers and trade organizations are part of daily business. Our sales staff assists travel planners in developing tour programs for individuals and groups, as well as incentive travel programs.

Based on the development of comprehensive strategic objectives in conjunction with our visitor market profile, the Marketing and Tourism Department organized three geographic market-based teams: Europe/Asia, USA/Canada/Caribbean and Latin America/Spain. These three interdisciplinary teams, led by the sales director for each territory, include public relations, advertising and publishing to assist in planning and implementing a comprehensive and coordinated strategy for each market.

The Division annually takes Greater Miami and the Beaches' message to thousands of travel industry representatives like you, by partnership programs with Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau members. Key industry buyers experience the destination first-hand throughout the year in dozens of organized familiarization (FAM) tours. The Division also meets with hundreds of top producers at trade shows on a one-on-one basis to identify their product needs.

The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau has teamed up with partners to distribute the Shop Miami program. Components include the Shop Miami Guide and Gift Booklet.

The Shop Miami Guide is a fold-out brochure that lists all the shopping members with their contact information and services offered. The shopping venues are highlighted on a Greater Miami map. This brochure serves as a general piece to inform your clients of all the shopping opportunities and services available.
