Terrace(8-6-2) @ Prince Rupert(2-11-3): With last weekends road win the Rampage find themselves just a point behind the 'rines for 3rd place and a preferred date with the Kings in the playoffs rather then the Demons, while the Kings find themselves locked in second place awaiting to see who thier round one opponent will be. Gotta think thier is abit of urgency for the Rampage who definately want to grab the 3rd seed and I think they take the season series with the Kings 3-1 with a big home win... 4-2 Rampage.
Hazelton(4-11-0) @ Omineca(6-8-0): Hazelton has won 4 straight and seems to be getting bodies back into thier line-up, but going to Vanderhoof will be a much tougher challenge then winning in Rupert. The Ice boast 3 tough scoring lines, but give up alot defensively. The line of Pual Girodat, David Boon and Tyler Walsh will likely be to much to handle for the Wolverines and unless Wolfenden, both Marshalls, Parent Jr. and Barnes all make the trip it might not even be close. Omineca 6-3 Saturday and 7-2 Sunday.
Smithers(12-3-0) @ Houston(9-6-0): Houston is coming off a satisfying split in Williams Lake and has an opportunity to really grab home ice in the first round with another win while the Steelheads are still playing for the Lightening Cup which would give them home ice against the Demons in the final should they meet. Houston has a 3-2 edge in the series so far, but they have leaned on Kenzel heavily, with Smithers depth up front I think they will find away to get to the veteran goalie enough and split the season series. For Houston to win they will need to find a way to generate some secondary scoring. Only McKay, B. Dinelle and Marren have been able to score consistantly for the Luckies this year, but that wont be good enough against the Steelheads. Smithers should win 5-3.
