wow, what a game. just got back from a end to end 6-5 stamps victory. i made some notes on scoring. sorry i don't have assists.

williams lake had wilfred robbins, robin gilbert, jason wright, francis johnson and brent mcisaac (with 2 goals) all scoring.
smithers had tyler koldike with a hat trick, matt arnold and darnel cafa with goals.

i know the shots were tied after 2 periods at 20 each. i think they ended very close to the same at the end. around 28 or so each.

the announcer said over 500 at the game. williams lake scored the winning goal with about 4 or 5 minutes left in the game good and noisy at the end with some old guy beatin a drum.

my buddies and i enjoyed this one.

Very exciting game played infront of a solid stamps home crowd full of energy.

First period started off with a a scoring frenzie as both teams scored on 3 of their first five shots before a stamps PP goal sent them to the room ahead 4-3.

Smithers came out and controlled the second scoring the only goal as the goaltending settled down and made some nice saves at both ends.

Third period was back and forth with francis johnson giving the stamps the lead mid way through on an amazing goal as he had all kinds of time in front deeking out jamie deba, but again the fish came back as koldyk scored his ha( trick goal just minutes later. With five minutes to go johnson won a nice faceoff back to brent mcisaac who slid in his second of the game to give the stamps a 6-5 lead and from their the steelheads failed to score on a couple power plays and willie sellars made an amazing game saving save to send the home town crowd home happy and give the stamps a 1-0 series lead. Should be some great hockey next weekend.

I don't think stamps1 even comes to the games. He's just an online fan. He missed a very exciting game though. A huge win for the stamps missing 5 regulars with differnt injuries. The return of wilf robbins was big though as he had a goal and an assist in the first 5 minutes. Can't wait for game 2 and maybe 3.
