Thanks for the updates!!!! Can someone write up how the game went please! Very interesting, maybe the East division wasn't as tough as some people thought!! Kitimat is looking pretty good with the victory regardless whether or not it was in OT! Good on ya!
Lets Go Stamps!!!! I've been told that I always go for the underdog! Not over till its over! Here's hoping for 2 wins in Tamitik!!!!!
Maybe Williams Lake can bring their own ref??? lol...

just home from the game. 4-3 kitimat wins in overtime.
kitimat built a 3-0 lead on goals from gerard baldo, trent bossence and ian coleman. looked like the stamps were dead, and played like it.
jason wright scored late in the second period to make it 3-1. wright scored again to start the third period and wilfred robbins tied it up on a power play with about 8 minutes to go. shots after 3 periods were 35 each i think.
went to a 20 minute overtime after an intermission. williams lake had a couple very good chances to win it in the OT. jeremy brady scored the winner about half way through the overtime.
about 600 fans out for the game. good game overall. two very similar teams who like to skate. not many penalties. 3 or 4 minors for each team.

I can't say much about the game but for the Smithers players just to let you guy's know how WL played it was like the game you plyed them Dec.13. Our best players went to Mexico but if I was a Kitimat fan I'd buy my Sat. night tickets and Sunday tickets because our best playerts will be back. Kitimat won the first game here to make up for it we will win the next 2 there.

green and black is tough as always... sounds like us fans here missed a great tilt tonight... hopefully the Puddle shows the same courtesy and brings their "A" game... gonna need it on the big ice in front of the biggest crowd in the CIHL... (is this a preview for the Coy...I'm thinking maybe...)
Got my tickets already.... see you at the game DP.... front and centre... if you need any help keeping your new found fans away from you just give me a shout... you know where I am.. HA

Pretty entertaining game tonight, although the stamps played horrible for the first 40 minutes looking like they were just happy to be in the coy cup already. Kitimat deserves full credit for this win as they just out worked the stamps for most of the game. Good crowd on hand to watch the stamps lay an egg unfortunately. Ref let the teams play not callong much... I think both teams had one PP goal. Moran and Sellars were very good tonight. Should be a great game next saturday.

Sellers and Moran put on quite show in a game that had a total of nearly 80 shots. But both tender-guys made some exceptional saves, Moran two particularly good goal-line stops with the Stamps behind and really threatening.
Sellers made a couple of exceptional stops near the end of the second on a couple of bouncing loose pucks, that could have put the game out of reach for the Stamps.
Instead, they got a couple of early period three power plays and the door was opened and as everybdy knows the pp is the Stamps' bread and butter.
Jason Wright had a great breakaway goal in the second as the Demons were pressing and gave up a turnover,to give the Stamps some life in the game after
the Demons checking had put them off their usual passing and flowing game.
Getting into the tied position gave the Stamps an edge, but they couldn't
bury after the sevrn minute mark of the third after three power plays in a row.
For the pool, here are the details...
Scoring period 1 -- Demons 1 15.6 - Gerard Baldo (Terry Whelan, Jeff Mildenberger)pp
Demons 2 -- 2.54 - Trent Bossence (Doug Wilson)
Shots Ice Demons 9 Stamps 10
Penalties - Demons 1 minor 2 mins Stamps 1 minor 2 mins
Period 2
Demons 3 -- 9.24 Ian Coleman (Jeremy Brady)
Stamps 1 -- 1.55 Jason Wright (Nathan Zurak, Aaron Zurak)
I was a bit tired when recapping the game off the pink score sheet ..someone wasn't pressing hard. But I read 17 not 7, Apologies -- I had it right in my notes because I recall Brent being in on a couple... it was a super game -- nerve wracker too, but Brady I think did get the big bounce off of Brent for the OT goal from Blaine Markwart's drive....
