Check into this for me,, At the end of the second period in game three.. Willy threw his arms in the air and went to Moran and hugged him..Now the question to you is and maybe you can answer this for me and those from Terrace that were laughing our heads off (as Doug would expect no different from us).. Did that old fool think the game was over or what??

...but I can't help you either. I doubt Dougie ever mistook the end of the second period for the end of the game. Maybe he was just congratulating Moran or -- maybe just checking if he was still awake between the posts!
He didn't see a lot of action.
Still I think Moran should be recognized for a great unbeaten season -- with a gaa of 0.75 -- even in the "weak" west division all CIHL fans will have to acknowledge that Moran, over the years, has been in the "top dog" category.
Dougie likes good goalies behind him...

Last year we had Geoff Morgan -- moved on to P.G. Spruce Kings. This year, speedy young addition Nick Smeader is acquitting himself well.
Watch for Brandon Wakita in the Coy Cup, didn't have qualfying # of games for playoffs; other additions this season like Braden Hansen, big mobile, hard hitting, scores goals, Greg Sabey, tough, big, hard hitting, hard shot, second year for Adam Buick, steady and fearless, Greg Blair, versatile, good hands, Kyle Boudreault ... there will be others as a few of the core players who have held the Ice Demons at the top may eventually move on to other priorities in their lives -- we're not exactly losing everybody -- although it is true to say big solid experienced d-men like Doug Wilson are not easy to find.
We've had a championship team with Kitimat products for six years...so don't be writing off the Kitimat Ice Demons right away...

That is kinda what I said a couple years ago, except I mentioned starting a Jr. league which would never happen in this neck of the woods because you would have a hard time attracting kids this direction over more popular parts of the province. These kids would have no commitments to anything other than their teams..
