It has been a great year of hockey, a lot more competitive hockey than past years. Teams getting stronger and making for some more evenly matched games. Rupert looks like they could be a team to watch out for next season, good job.
Hazelton, I think surprised themselves along with a lot of other people, also, good job. Kitimat tough luck man, too bad, I personally thought it was going to happen in the semis and further.. The reffing has come along ways in this league, except for that midget out of Smithers that did the TER/HAZ game one sunday in HAZ. I still think he got lost in the crowd and ended up in the middle of a hockey game and not at the dwarf tossing competition being held at the long house at K`san village which was being reffed by Simon Dodd. Other than that my hat goes off to you guys, good job. I hope to see a more mixed up or broader schedule where we can see more teams, it would have been nice to see Smithers and Houston come this way or even have the chance to go and watch Terrace play these teams. To all of the organizers and volunteers of the league and the Coy thanks it would never be possible with out you. I am still pissed about not seeing the final results in the playoff pool, but whatever, life goes on. Have a good summer, play safe, and to my new found best friends, 392 ci Pissednbroke, Salmon-can't-swim-up-the-river-without-a-mask-king-forever, Stamps-doesn't-feed-his-horses-on-the-rez 1 or 2, well maybe not Stamps, because you give us first nations people a bad name. Yes you heard it yourself I am First Nations, yup, when I drink. I had a blast.

Yep a great year... odd in some ways... the east claiming dominance over the west... yet the west won the CIHL Championship,.... only to have the east take the coy... good news it was great season... better news... everyone wants a piece of a CIHL team... Dominating senior men's hockey in BC since 2004

anyway I am outta here till next year as well.. looking forward to next season...

But I will leave you guys with something to chew on..... one last rumor One last piece of speculation before spring sets in.... something to ponder over the months to come....

believe me when I ask.... WHAT? TWO CIHL TEAMS IN KITIMAT? Remember sports fans.... you heard it here first...

LATER

Wyldsyd Cruachan...

...but in point of fact, it really makes no kind of common sense. If there's a group interested in a second team, come on forward and let's make the one we've already got a lot better for the 2009-10 season. We don't need the complications and there are just NOT enough qualified players.
