Apparently the Wolves have been hitting the ice the last few days geting some decent turnouts after a dismal showing at their innagural ice time. They held their first full practice last night. Cardinal, I'm told, looked great out there. A little chubby, but still has it. Intersquad games for the Wolves start Saturday night, should be interesting. A decent turnout of youngins have stepped up to the plate. Lots of returning guys and a bunch that are newcomers to the rines. Interested parties can attend the intersquad games, I believe they kick off at 7pm Sat night (I could be wrong just look at the post about Burns Lake ha) but ya I know I'll make the trip to the haze to scout the talent. Maybe say hello to my old buddy Curtis.
Till next time,

I can't believe Cardinal is in Hazelton. I'm glad to see a perennial bottom feeder team land a legitimate star. This guy will add so much to the team offensively and alot of confidence to his teammates. If he lasts the season who knows what the wolverines could do. Possibly an east final spot against kitimat. Gonna be tough as hell to get through Smithers and Rupert still and Terrace has potential, but is still a relative unknown with the new managment group. Should be an exciyting year for the wolves fans.

Nah Rusty, I don't know what this guy is talking about, either way Curtis has been skating with the Wolves and will be back here tomorrow night (if he did happen to leave town) to make the Hazelton Wolverines hockey club and that's a cold hard fact. I know you guys miss him but he's moved on.
That's at least what I hear,
Brock69, another post- another dollar.

Well he must of left or be thinking of leaving soon for Hazelton Saturday night, why don't you follow him there rampage fan? The wolves could probably find you a seat in the rink on the home opener. Yeah, right underneath that leaky roof, bring some shampoo and you don't even need to shower after the game.

Cardinal is a very talented player, no doubt. With that said, he has no allegiance with any team, or anyone but himself. He has played a half a season with the Mackenzie Moose, a handful of games with the Stampeders, a handful with the Rampage and is now onto the Wolverines? Wouldn't suprise me a bit if he bails on Hazelton halfway through the season for some dubious reason. BE WARNED WOLVERINES FANS.

I heard he likes to "party" if you know what I mean. I hope he's done with that stuff and delivers an outstanding hockey prodcut to any team he may play/ be playing for this season.

he also made a committment to Omineca two years ago before dissapearing off the face of the earth only to surface in WL for 4 or 5 games at the end of the season, but still didn't play enough games to qualify for the playoffs. Definately a "me first" kind of player. Expect the same from Corey Potskin if he's playing in the Haz this year.

Wolves wrapped up their tryouts this afternoon after a thrilling 10-10 intersquad game that went to shootouts. Ayden de Boer, clutch with the game tying goal to push the game to shootouts. Stu Barnes looked good out there as well as Mitch Hobenshield (in decent shape) Cardinal looked still drunk out there but he played alright. Some guys from PG showed up, not sure who they were, heard a couple of them were EX- spruce kings. Darcy Prince was supposed to be in the lineup but he was recovering from a broken wrist sustained in a fight earlier this year.
The final team will show up to practice on tuesday at 9. Should be a decent team this year if I was choosing the team. Should for sure do better than last year and maybe even have a decent playoff push

curtis was at rampage practise last thursday. looking good on a line with my bro and woodrow.
hopefully he sticks it out with the rampage. i know he was a big help for our offence last year and fit in well with the guys. he was also a hit with the fans, who love this team. who wouldn't want to play in front of a full house every game.

Either way when october comes around Cardinal will either be the "fan favorite" in PR playing for the Rampage or maybe hear some boo's if he's in a Wolves jersey. He'll probably sign to one of those teams but who knows, Houston getting in on the bidding war could sway his possibilities. The Cardinal fiasco continues.

Cardinal a no show at the Wolves first full practise as a final roster so I'm told. Either he didn't make the team (highly unlikely) or he has just decided not to play with them this season, or he was just out of comission. Either way, the Roster is a lot the same as last season but with some refreshing new faces to the line up.
Should be a better season in Hazelton though as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah I heard he does and the reason was that he came down for some free ice on his time off. Prior to Hazelton he was skating a week before the rest of the Wolves as he was skating in apparently Prince Rupert, Terrace and Smithers and had been apparently (just a rumor I heard) been talking to Houston. (Not necessarily with the respective CIHL roster but on the ice. Interesting to note, I was told this by a Wolverine player.

I'm not sure if he was skating with the Steelheads, Riverkings and Luckies but he had been hitting the ice in smithers, and terrace but he had been hitting the ice with rupert's rampage.

I heard he's strapping it up for the Steelheads this season! I'm thinking from a reliable source, but the way things are going I'm not sure. Hahahahahah who started all these rumors?
