To all the fans of the CIHL, I would like to apologize for the delay in entering in the weekend game sheet between the Terrace River Kings and Hazelton Wolverines.

It took many emails and various attempts, (faxes and emails) to finally secure an extremely ****ty copy of the game sheet from the Terrace management.

The sheet was so unreadable for the most part, that some information is completely missing, (penalities and scoring details), or some information had to be guessed at, (scoring details and attendance).

I try hard to get the information into the system as fast as possible as I know that media outlets throught the Central Interior and North West part of our Province are now utilizing that information. I regret that it took so long, and that the information provided to me was of such poor quality.

I ask you the fans that attended the game, please review the Pointstreak game information for the above game, and notify me of any required changes. Or if you have knowledege of the whereabouts of one of the better quality copies of said game sheets, please fax that sheet to my number at 250-392-2833.

Thank you
CIHL Statitician

Cheers to mr stats guy for his effort!! I believe that the league prez and mr stats guy and all the GM's to every team should all agree on that if the game sheets aren't readable and in by monday at 10am there should be a fine of $100 for first offense and $200 for second and $500 for third with the money going to the league for next years DUE'S ( hey i got it right this time LOL) point system. I think if mr statsguy is going to spend countless hours of his time to keep it up to date i think that we should respect him and honour a rule for him. It would be away for the league to make alittle extra money. I think this should start this coming weekend. Check ya later

Stats keepers at games

Now that we have the Pointstreak system, it is quite important that the stats keepers at the games do an accurate job! Everyone recognizes that they are volunteers and the fans, team management and players must appreciate their efforts. However, not sure how the stats in Terrace could be 30 shots on net for both Terrace and Hazelton at the end of the game, when it was announced at the end of the first period that Terrace already had over 20 shots on net and the Wolverines only 8 shots on net. Doesnt quite add up after 3.

An Apology

I would like to say thankyou to Colin Smith of CFTK Radio in Terrace for providing a statistical recap of the weekend game between Hazelton and Terrace. I now have proper scoring details which I will promptly enter into the PointStreak system.

I would also like to offer my apology to the Team Managment for the Terrace River Kings organization. In my frustration with tracking down a game sheet and then receiving an inadequate copy, I went overboard with my comments. It was not my intention to disparage the River King hockey club.

Andrew Deans and the other members of the River Kings management have done an admirable job in resurecting the River Kings organization from the ashes of near defeat. Well done to you folks and continued success.

May this be a lesson to both sides to perhaps listen more to the other side before jumping to conclusions. (me included)

The entire league appreciates your efforts Dwayne. Point Streak is halping this league in big ways and we're lucky to have a dedicated volunteer doing a great job with it. That was a classy apology and we look forward to seeing you in Hockeyville for a River Kings game some point in the future.
