Kitimat Ice Demons to honor fallen Canadians at November game against the Wolverines
The Kitimat Ice Demons hockey club will honor Canadian service men and women who have lost their lives in Afghanistan, with a memorial recognition before the November 14 game at Tamitik Arena against the Hazelton Wolverines.
The players will dedicate the game on the Saturday closest to Remembrance Day with a pre-game ceremony, also involving a number of local groups, including the Royal Canadian Legion, which will provide an honor guard.
All fans in attendance are being asked to wear red, a color that has come to symbolize remembrance and honor for our troops everywhere, but especially in Afghanistan.
The Kitimat Ice Demons Senior AA Hockey club will be playing a Memorial Hockey game against the Hazelton Wolverines on Nov 14, 2009 @ 8PM. We will be honoring our fallen hero's in Operation Enduring Freedom. LEST WE FORGET.
