The Dawson creek canucks are back . They play in the NORTH PEACE HOCKEY LEAGUE which is in its 56th Season as a league. The canucks used to play in the central league and before that the south peace hockey league and when it all started the wheat belt hockey league. They missed the past 3 seasons , but have returned to start there 60th season as a club. Thursday night, they had there regular season home opener, and in front of 750 fans put on a great show. . They had a very good pregame ceremony with players from the past 60 years on the ice . This year they have as of now a completely local lineup and have many players to choice from. Adam loncan and Dustin Kearsy lead the team , but the canucks have a very solid line up. They have affiliated with the FSJ Flyers , but as of today have used none of there players. The canucks have played 7 games as of today and do play tonight against the High Prairie Regals . The scores of there games are as follows.
DC. 4 in HYTHE Mustangs 14 not a good lineup at all for that one
DC. 6 in Fairview kings 4
DC 7 home against the Fairview kings 4
DC. 4 home against the Hythe Mustangs 3
Reg season
DC. 2 at GRANDE PRARIE A'S 5
Dc 8 at valleyview jets 2
DC. 1 Home against the grandeprarie A'S 2 gp's tender was outstanding in this game.50-50 was $535 to the winner, they also gave a trip for 2 to las vegas

Dawson creek will and do have a very, very good club, but the biggest thing is that there back , to much history not to be playing and Dawson creek is as good a hockey town as any where, and it makes a fun place to play.

also, was wondering which of these three teams is the oldest: Powell River Regals, Dawson Creek Canucks or Williams Lake Stampeders. all have been around for many years, going back into the 30' and 40's even
