It was a pretty interesting game sunday. Omineca came outta the gates and took it to a tired looking two lines of Stampeders in the first jumping out to a 3-0 lead and out shooting the Stamps 17-7. Looked like the Stamps were ready to head home.

The second was very evenly played with both goalies making some great save, afew dandy's from Blake Buckham preserved the Ice's 3-0 lead before they scored the 4-0 goal late in the period on a goal mouth scramble.

In the third it looked like it was gonna get way outta hand maybe 12 or 15-1? after two goals from Omineca pushed the lead to 6-0 things suddenly turned asthe Stamps finally got one passed Buckham and from there on it was a real game. Seemed like every minute or two WL chipped away one at a tim and had it down to 6-3 when they started a 5-3 PP and managed to score twice cutting the lead to 6-5 with over two minutes left, but despite having alot of control in Ominecas zone the rest of the way they couldn't produce a real quality chance to complete a nearly epic comeback.

Pretty frusterating weekend for the Stamps. When you have a 2-8 team on your schedule your counting on points that weekend, but that said, it was two good efforts by a badly shorthanded team missing about 10 players including thier 4 leading scorers.

How many goalies do the ice need? They have three who have all played some serious minutes. Who is the # 1?

The two weekends against WL Pual Simoes started Saturday and Blake Buchham started Sunday. I think Guy Walsh is out of the picture now. Not sure though.
