Was a good road win for the luckies who survived a determined comeback effort in the third from the Stamps and pulled out a 7-4 victory with an empty netter sealing the deal. Pretty evenly played game through 40, but the Luckies managed to capitalize on their scoring chances while the Stamps could not. 2-0 after 1 and 4-0 after two thanks in part to some solid Luckies penalty killing and some determined efforts in front of Stampeder goaltender Justin Foote. In the third the Stamps were able to close the gap to 4-2 and 5-3 with alot of momentum, but a untimely 4 minute penalty and a timely power play goal finished the Stamps in the final 9 minutes. The luckies were able to score on 3 of the five shots they had in the third period as the Stamps were pushing forward and gave up afew counter attacks the other way and were unable to get the big save in the third. The Dinelle line was big in this game getting the Luckies going early and Kenzel was a rock through the first 40 not allowing the Stamps to gain any momentum.

Saturday was pretty much the opposite with the Stampeders jumping to a 4-0 lead through two with the Luckies able to get one back midway through the third and two more in the final minute including one with 1.6 seconds remaining making the score more respectable, but the outcome was never really in doubt. Justin Foote stood tall in this game making multiple big saves and Francis Johnson led the offensive charge with two goals.

Now the Stampeders make the return trip to Houston next week where the teams return to Claude Parish for the first time since the Stamps eliminated the Luckies last season.
