nobody in Terrace has seems to have the nuts to post a score -- or to admit their very few fans are leaving the game because they are likely mildly ashamed of what they are watching.

Kitimat 7 - Terrace 2. BS game last two periods, poorly refereed - could have been a good game but Terrace kept losing it on the ice. I know what they'll say -- but them's the facts ma'am.

Sadly, if this is the new, younger faster, more disciplined Terrace River Kings, they look surprisingly like the old goon-show Terrace. High sticks, slew foots, slashing, charging and game misconducts. Brown took the game misconduct and a double minor (hi-stick, boarding, hit from behind) it could have been any of the three, mid-way through the third.

Some early "real-penalty" reffing calls could have turned this into the good game it promised to be in the first half of the first period.. But they were absent.

At the end of an energetic hard-played first period was Kitimat 2 Terrace 1, and it could easily have been the other way around...

Kitimat were short four times, Terrace took two minors in the first. Kitimat scored even up at the 37 seconds mark of the first period, while Cullis was chasing to cross-check Mildenberger's head out in centre ice; Daniel Mayer was scoring on a nice passing play from Baker and Coleman.

Score sheet says it was the other way around, but I'm pretty sure this was the first of three for Mayer on the night, all scored from the same spot to the left of the goalie. Calen Findlay got it back a minute and a half later -- and it looked like game on.

The River Kings were skating and hitting pretty good in the first and the Demons were not as controlling as they usually can be. But the Kings were unable to stick to hockey and with two and a bit remaining in the first, Coleman got his first of two (Markwart and Brady)on a power play with Chris Brown in the box for charging... and the game went downhill from there.

Mayer (Mildenberger, D. Venman), Coleman (D. Venman) and Brandon Wakita, with a nice individual, un-assisted effort made it 5-1 before Terrace scrambled a puck behind Moran, with nine seconds left in the period as a slashing penalty to Hewitson had just expired. The Ice Demons added two in the third, Mayer (Markowski, Derek Wakita) and Hewitson (Blaine Markwart, Ian Coleman).

Terrace tried to make a game of it late, but Moran's had a great glove going tonight and was pretty well seeing everything.

What more needs to be said...

Typical Steve Cullis, he reminds me so much of Ken "Rat" Linseman. Dirty and whining all the time. Time for him to hang up his skates and stick with old timers.

I posted at 1.05 a,m,. a few minutes after I fiinished the drive home. Nobody from Terrace, or anywhere, had posted the score. I posted what I did for Kitimat people, not at the game. Although, there were a lot of Kitimat people at the game, Terrace fans were AWOL with a vengeance.

It used to be a pretty full rink, when Burny was running the team.
