Does anyone know if and when the the Sr Vees will be playing any home games? There is no Sr. Hockey down in the Okanagan so it'd be a treat to take in a couple of games....

I've heard the PG Mohawks are planning a trip to Penticton as well. Apparently the Sr. Vees have had a hell of a time getting ice time, so that might explain why they don't play at home until Feb.

Senior hockey finally returning to the Okanagan..Congratulations to those who have worked hard to make this possible..Lets hope the city of Penticton realizes that there is more than Junior Hockey to pick from..Ex-Juniors,former Pros and many Senior hockey players in the Okanagan..Hopefully Senior hockey will make a return such as that of the past with teams such as Nelson,Trail,Kimberley,Kelowna and others..Following teams such as Fort St John and the Powell River Regals whom have led the Senior circles for many years, a league from the North with Prince George and add areas such as Quesnel,Williams Lake(CIHL)and Vanderhof,Senior Hockey could rebound with that hard hitting, fast paced hockey. Then add the likes of Alberni,Nanaimo and Victoria to go with Powell River , Mid Island Blazers and Sechelt along with a couple teams from the LM and Whistler and Senior hockey returns
BC Hockey has a new Senior guy in place that actually cares about hockey past Junior
Good luck to you Penticton and I will be at your games

You can get news on the Penticton Sr. Vees on their website PentictonSeniorVees.com. To bad the home games with The Fort St. John Flyers had to be cancelled do to marketing restrictions between the Junior Franchise, highly political situation in Penticton with the reformation of the Sr. Vees Team and the restrictions laid on them them from playing at the New 5000 seat SOEC Arena. The Team management will persist in getting games in, the Prince George Mohawks are coming down for exhibition games Sat. Feb.26 in Summerland and the Next day Sun Feb.27 at Kamloops Memorial Arena. First clash between two AAA Senior Teams in 16 years in these regions, and first Senior AAA Game played in Kamloops in 50 years, not since the Okanagan Senior Hockey league disbanded in 1961 has hockey of this level been played in Kamloops. Will be a real eye opener for Summerland and Kamloops Hockey Fans. Return dates for games against the Okanagan College Coyotes are in the works and the Savage Cup March 15-19 is on the Horizon for the team. Great to see this team take off like it did, slow to start but the current linup looks very potent.
