I would certainly interested, Drew, to find out if the Peak is planning any Coy Cup coverage. I know PR is a bit out of the Peak's regular area for coverage...still we haven't heard a lot.
Just curious. As I say, we haven't seen much additional talk of publicity about plans for the Coy Cup Week in Prince Rupert and would - from stay-at-home fans point of view, be interested if the Rampage, or Big Trav are planning any additional internet or website day-to-day and game-in-game-out coverage.
I will certainly have my laptop in Rupert anbd will be covering our Ice Demons games and no doubt Rusty will be a busy guy too. By the way Rusty, check the Demons site for some late updates ... just happened today.
I do expect it will be of some interest to some teams involved and is now a fait accompli ...
Maybe Rusty will pick it up for me ... I'm a bit busy for the time being with some other issues at home.
Anything the Rampage people can tell us and our families and fans about accommodation recommendations, restaurants, things to do -- ticket prices and availability -- we need to know asap.
I know it's a busy wind up to the first puck drop -- but a lot of people are looking for more information. Looking forward to it and need some info on advance ticket sales...because I know they were goimng fast when we played there a couple of weeks ago...
Any Rupert paper coverage that we can copy and paste to the site???

Prince Rupert doesn't really have a newspaper anymore, per sae, but there will be updated coverage online at www.muskegnews.com, including a full preview of the Coy Cup that will be posted this weekend.

Good point papa... haven't been able to find anything online at all regarding the Coy. Would love to find out how to go about getting tickets and virtually any other information being made available.
As for the Demons news... are you referring to coach Step taking over for coach Baker?

We all wish Danny the very best for a quick recovery and the team is grateful for Step agreeing to help us out in Prince Rupert... We were not sure if there were rules re coaches that could create more problems for us...but we got the ok from B.C. Hockey...

I plan to be there for all the games and will post in-game (at the intermission) updates like I do for all games I attend.
Been looking forward to this for awhile. Rupert/Kitimat have always been entertaining games, even if we've come out on the short end of the stick more than I'd like. Have yet to see the Stampeders play, but their stats are impressive and Powell River always seems to have a strong team. It should be some awesome hockey and I can't wait for it to get started.
As for not hearing much out of me, well, I've just been busy. This time of year is hectic at the best of times between work and other activities.
On a side note, while we don't have a local daily paper anymore, we do have a couple online sources. The old Daily News sports reporter has been writting for the Muskeg News (online). While this is a side gig for him, he's still a sports fan and likes to write. He covered the All-Native Basketball Tourney, and I would expect that he would cover the Coy as well.

Sorry Sports Guy, you must be misinformed. Prince Rupert has two papers going to homes around town. The Northern View is delivered Wednesday and has daily updates at thenorthernview.com and The Northern Connector (which also covers Terrace and Kitimat). Certain they'll be doing daily website updates on the Coy Cup.

Suggest maybe you run the website log-on in the forum for people to copy -- or just copy and paste your Coy Cup related information to the thread!! Thanks.
