Alberta does have a rule that teams play double AA, one year before moving up to triple AAA . And its a good rule , prove your self as a team as an organiztion then move up if thats where you want to go.

There you go Asphaltguy. Knew I had heard of this rule. I guess the downside of the rule is that you get teams at the AA level for their first year that are already AAA calibre.

Kitimat played Fort St. John Flyers at the Coy here in Kitimat and beat them, they went AAA the next year. Hockey is the type of game that on any given night given the right chemistry any team can beat the better team.

As I said, I never heard of this before and not in BC but probably it wasn't an issue in the past..Last year Powell River had a AA and AAA team, unheard of in most places especially with a JR. A team also there. Prince George is the other team dealing with 2 Junior teams This is a concern trying to get Senior teams into communities with a JR. team there..The CIHL has teams that are not in competition with JR. teams for ice and fans
That being said, Senior hockey is great and hopefully will be revived in the future in the Interior,LM and Island(this area alone has 11 Junior teams, 12 if you count Powell River)Makes it tough
