You heard right, LLH & Quesnel are in and join Vanderhoof & Williams Lake to form one of now 3 divisions. Northern Division consist of Prince Rupert, Terrace & Kitimat, Central Division has Hazelton, Smithers & Houston and Southern Division has Vanderhooh, Quesnel, Williams Lake & Lac La Hache. An 18 game schedule is now in place. Each team has a home/away series verses Divisional teams and then closest division. The playoff format will see 2 top teams in each divison advance. Out of the bottom 4 point teams 2 with the highest points will get a wild card. Not sure what final format was decided but I think top point team play least point team in round 1 and so on. As for last 10 minute rule for fighting, this was debated but CIHL is obligated to follow BC Ameteur rules but no one likes the rule so we will be asking for an exemption. Each Team is to work closely with minor hockey to promote referees and funding is set aside to help with this. Fines for no shows have been increased and there will be strict adherence to rules in regard to sending in game sheets. The leaque will try to find a sponsor before start of the next season at present there is no sponsor. The New President is JC Brown (Some may know him as the DJ for Peak Radio) and he is also going to do the schedule. The new Stats Man will be Jamie Deba (Former Smither's Goaltender). Kitimat has the blessing of the league to try and host the 2012 Coy Cup and will be submitting an application in early fall. Good Luck to all teams and welcome to Quesnel & LLH.
