Any game - any team - any night.

Especially in short playoffs.

Steelheads will have two more shots -- but the big pressure will be on them in the Saturday game. Experience counts for a lot...

Any details anyone...?

Listened to the 3rd on the Peak. Sounded like Foote rose to the occassion to match The Wall. shots 42-37 in WL favour.Tyrel Lucas ex CHL player, played very well according to the announcers. Matt Lees with a rebound goal from zurak and Wright. Stamps used 4 D. Fuller bros. and Mcissac / Zurak. No W. Robbins for the stamps. Should be good next weekend in granolaville, will this be a repeat of last years semi ,and the steelies again failing to win the big one. I wouldn't count them out but i wouldn't bet the farm on them either. I think this game makes the coy a little more appealing, some folks thought the steelies were unbeatable and maybe they thought that themselves. Now we will see how they respond. It seems the stamps put a little more effort in, the bigger the game.I thought their downfall would be giving up too many goals but apparently they played D tonite.

It's hard to talk with my foot in my mouth but congrats to the stamps, sounds like they played to their potential for the first time this year. foote standing tall makes that team perform to their capabilities. Looking forward to listening to game 2 in Smithers.

If Steelheads had a full complement ...

...this is a significant win -- but probably not a big enough margin to change many people's minds about the ultimate result of two games in Smithers. But Williams Lake know - for them - there's a chance of it being a one-game final -- one more big effort -- and that has pretty well been the Stamps mark for the past three years...

Smithers will have to work hard to get it to Sunday...

Right, Captain about the Coy -- it does open things up -- no unbeaten teams -- seems difficult as an organizer to get "actual" rosters for incoming teams - since additions are possible and more so, likely. So getting a program prepared is slowed down as teams seem to be cagey about who will actually be there...

Wow what a great game it sounded like, wish I was there to take in the action live... Pretty surprised that the Lake city boys got a win but it's a long bus trip to Williams Lake that's for sure... I expect the Heads to come back hard in game 2 winning it decisively, I'm sure Williams Lake will be rounding up the troops for this trip but bus legs will be a factor in the first game.. On Sunday though it could go either way. The Steelheads will be poised to take it and I'm expecting a sellout crowd in hockeyville, if there are any spare seats in Smithers on Sunday that town should be ashamed of itself. Williams Lake could play spoiler but I'm sticking with my gut on this one and I truly believe that Smithers will take the cake... Heads in 3. I have to admit though I'm partly surprised that Williams Lake played as well as they did and won that game... Anyone know if any regulars were missing from the Steelies line up ?
