I could just ------- I can't think of a good word here!
My great-aunt has been in the hospital for a while now in Florida and I have called and called and finally got hold of my oldest brother and asked him to give her a call. I've left tons of messages on my little brother's answering machine. He's special to her because he has her old husband's middle name and I have my great-grandma's middle name. But, he has always been special and he is so mean and arrogant and consumed by himself that he can't even give her a phone call????!!!!!!
She's had 2 strokes and now has a broken hip and other problems...she's losing it folks! She's not gonna make it very long and what time she has left, my brothers could at least give her a phone call...it would mean so much to her and they don't even realize it!
What is wrong with my family? I went to a soccer game for my room mate's son in a town not 20 minutes from here and believe it or not, I have an aunt that as a child, I was very very close to that lives in that very town. I've called her twice and she won't even see me. If she's not feeling well as she said, then, I'd love to come over and help out...she's my aunt for Pete's sake! I was born into a very horrible, nasty, stupid, deviant, ridiculous family!
I love my great-aunt, I will always try and be there for her. I will drive down to take care of her when she leaves the hospital. There is no one else to help because as I said...THEY ARE ALL STUPID!
This is the only family member that talks to me, remembers my birthday, cares how I'm getting along, etc. She deserves to be loved back and even if she forgot those days, she loves me and she deserves all the love I have for her...because she is my family!
I WISH THAT I KNEW WHAT A SENSE OF REAL FAMILY WAS LIKE...THE KIND THAT CALLS AND CARES AND HELPS AND LOVES
