Terrie, I'm sorry to hear about this situation. From the little I know, I see you are going through a really rough time and, as these things go, one thing seems to follow another. You really need the vacation.
You have EVERY right to be ticked off about this. You didn't do anything except try to make arrangements to get things going smoothly. Your time frame is fine and it seems to me that there is something underneath all this hostility on the part of your friend. I hope it is nothing more than someone who doesn't adjust well to change.
