4 factors will affect the interval...
1)The hardness of the finish.
2)The weight/pad pressure of the machine.
3)The aggressiveness of the pad.
4)The amount of finish you put down. (Thick coats take longer to dry completely.)

Burnish a small area (I usually wait about 30-40 minutes) and if you are making swirls or (worse) peeling the finish your finish is not ready. I hope that helps.
