wood floor restoration

I will be going to measure the square footage of a home tommorrow. (WOOD FLOORING) The custy wants to sand it and finish it. Basically needs restoring. I haven't the slightest clue what to do if i win the bid.

Does anyone know of the best source of info. on the how-to's that you can refer me. More than likely i'll win the bid cause this person is like a sister and she will trust me before some outsider.

I need to know the going rates for this as well.
