Movers working in the very very early morning, somewhere near Crane's apartment, noticed a white Cadillac leaving. Virginia Berry's boyfriend had a white Cadillac and had had words with, or was jealous of, Crane. Did he whop Bob with the tripod then steal the photo book?

If Carpenter took the photo book what did he do with it (throw it away?) Would Carpenter take the photo album as "proof" he used to party with Crane?

What puzzles me is the rare type "b" blood on the passenger side door of Carpenter's rental -- if it isn't Bob's, where'd it come from? Did Carpenter ever have an explanation for that?
