The top picture shows the 2 speed gear selector and the oil pump plunger, there is no clutch so you use the decompressor and crash into gear.
The lower picture shows the oil metering device, throughout the journey you will depress the plunger, this is spring loaded and will slowly rise back up as it forces oil into the sight glass. Here the drips are visible to the rider, you want a drip every 3 seconds in normal use (adjusted by the dial which also serves as an off tap). These drips find their way down a tube directly into the crankcase where it splash lubricates the big end before being burnt off in combustion.
Fun to ride and very light bikes. The 350 flat twin should get you to a healthy 50mph
