The only computer peripheral to take 3 decades in its stride and still shit all over anything made since. You can pour liquid into it until it's full and then all you have to do is tip it out because it doesn't have cheap and nasty little rubber domes to get all wet and squidgy. Some of them have drainage channels in the baseplate, but even if they don't it doesn't really matter.
The best thing is that people, being total morons as usual, get rid of them (after all, they're beige). If you google the IBM model M then you'll be able to recognise such castouts and seize them for zero outlay and maximum typing nirvana.
