It always amazes me when something like this happens. Even with a crash helmet on, I can clearly hear cop sirens, and the moment they impinge on my consciousness, I start looking around to see where they're coming from. I've watched CCTV footage where I could have comfortably stopped a Formula One car in the time it's taken for some fucking dimwit to pull out in front of a Copper/Ambulance/Fire Engine. Ok, there ARE some times when it's going to be a close call, but for fucks sake, when are the general public going to open their bloody eyes? Likewise, there always seems to be a witch-hunt when a Cop hits a "young person with their whole life in front of them" but how many times have you had to swerve to miss one of the little bastards strolling across the road like they're invincible?
Sorry Jim, but it's just too easy to blame the bloke with the Blue Light for everything.
