well i disagree

If they didnt have faith that these books full of essentially rationalised rape, slaughter, intolerance and hate were written by/for some deity worthy of worship - then they'd have no reason to slaughter 1000s of people in it's name.

And don't get me started on the insanity behind thinking that the god of the bible and koran (they share the old testament so essentially it's the same deity) is in any way good or worthy of worship. I could go on all day about what an evil character that guy is. It's no suprise worship of him always leads to violence, bigotry and murder.
