Where in Melb are you? Have you found a decent bike scene or bike club? I haven't seen much customising here, there's plenty OCC style big Harleys, and a fair few Deus style cafe racers, but I haven't seen much else. Also, speaking to riders I find that a lot of these guys are buying their bikes, not building them. I haven't found many people building their own. Have you?
I am helping a guy build a 1970's street-tracker style XS400, and I am 80% of the way through Mad maxing my transalp, but I haven't seen much else.
