(Keep in mind these are just findings/opinions based on a day of plug chops and f#cking about with the jets.)
MIXTURE
It was lean! (hell at least i'm honest) but apparently only at a very narrow area on the rpm, which it seems to sit at in 5th just slightly longer than any other gear. So with some jet f#ckery hopefully I can have that sorted.
VACUUM OPERATED FUEL PUMP
Remember I had a problem when I connected the fuel pump, where the bike would run instantly chronic rich? Turns out the fuel pump's f#cked, upon removing it from the bike I noticed fuel pouring from the vacuum pipe. So I took it apart and found it's been so badly made it has tiny jagged spikes inside which have holed the diaphram. Fuel gets pulled through the holes and straight into the carb manifold causing it to run epic rich. Imagine the nightmare that would have caused on tour, just say YES to throwing away pointless rubbish.
